What can this Venture Capital Financing Valuation Calculator do?
The calculator has two main functions:
- Calculate pre-money and post-money valuations
- Determine the number of new shares to be issued to the investors and the price per share.
What information do I need to use the calculator?
- To use the first function, you'll need the investment amount and the percentage stake proposed for the investor. These are typically found in the term sheet.
- To use the second function, you'll need to know the pre-money valuation, the total number of existing shares prior to the round, and the proposed investment amount. If the term sheet contemplates creation of ESOP pool, you will need to provide the ESOP pool percentage proposed to be created and the current number of shares earmarked as ESOP pool.
When you input the numbers, please only insert the numbers without any currency or percentage indicator and without any comma separators.
